Getting well, staying well, and finding purpose again.
Freedom Behavioral Health helps people with mental health conditions and substance use disorders get well and stay well. We pay particular attention to active-duty service members, veterans, military caregivers, and their families.
Our care is trauma-informed, and it continues after treatment ends. Along with clinical services, we help people with the things that make recovery last: a stable place to live, school or work, and a way back into their community.
We want more for people than getting sober or getting stable. We want them and their families to rebuild their lives and find their purpose again.
Our values
Dignity
Everyone who walks in is treated with respect, whatever their history.
Service
We honor those who served by serving them well, and we hold every patient to that standard.
Community
Recovery happens among people. We build ties to families, employers, and neighbors.
Meet our team
Tamra has worked in mental health and addiction treatment for more than 15 years and has long been committed to serving the military community. She leads Freedom Behavioral Health's clinical and community programs as the organization grows.

You shouldn't have to leave home to get good care. Freedom is based in Muncie and serves people across Delaware County and the surrounding area. That makes it easier for families to take part and for patients to keep their jobs and routines.
